April Wrap Up

Well, I know this is a bit late and it’s almost time for a May reading wrap up but like they say better late than never.

Below is a list of the books that I was able to read in the month of April.

The Wicked Deep by Shea Ernshaw – ♥♥♥♥ This was a beautiful story filled with mystery, suspense and great characters, my only problem with this was the insta-love, but other than that I think this was such a great read.

Spellbook of the Lost and Found by Moira Fowley Doyle – ♥♥  This was a disappointing read. I expected so much more from it I mean Spellbook = witches right?! Nope this book was lacking and the reason for the 2*s rating was because the last few chapters were way better than more than half of the book.

Gemina (Illuminae Files #2) by Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff – ♥♥♥♥ Well, I will say this was much better than the first book.  Again, my problem with this was the slow start but overall a great sequel and Loved the ending!

Empire of Storms (Throne of Glass #5) – ♥♥♥♥♥ I never thought I would give a 5 stars rating to any of these book in this series but omg! I loved this book Heir of Fire was my favorite book until I read this one and so much happening, I mean don’t get me wrong I still don’t love Aelin she still annoys me but this was a great book and lets talk about my Queen Manon, I need a whole series about her.

To Kill a Kingdom by Alexandra Christo – ♥♥♥♥♥ I have no words to describe this book!  I don’t care what anyone says this book deserves all the stars in the world and beyond the galaxy.  I wasn’t expecting this book to be such a perfect story and definitely wasn’t expecting to be taken like this, weeks after finishing this story I’m still thinking about it.  Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to this story.

A Discovery of Witches (All Souls Trilogy #1) by Deborah Harkness – ♥♥♥♥  This book was amazing, I’m so glad that I finally picked it up.  yes, it’s a long read, yes it’s slow at times but I loved everything about it the writing, the characters the magic, I mean everything.

And that is all for now folks!  I will try to post some reviews for some of these book and go into a little more details about my thoughts but for now that’s all.  As you can see even though I didn’t get to read tons of books I read some pretty awesome ones and I hope the month of May may be as good or better than April, but we shall see.
