Leah on the Off Beat, Creekwood Book #2
My Review
This story is about a boy named Simon, and the story takes place mostly at a High School. Simon is gay and is having an online type of relationship (pen pal) with another student name blue, well his online name is blue. One day Simon forgot to logout from the school computer and another student, Martin was able to get a copy of Simon’s conversation with blue. Martin decide to let Simon know that he was able to get to his email conversations, and in order for him to keep the secret he will need for Simon to help him get a date with Simon’s friend named Abby, Simon was shocked and upset that Martin the class clown was trying to blackmailed him. When I first picked up the book I wasn’t sure if I was going to like it or not, the main premise of the story is about Simon trying to figure out his life and trying to find a way of how to come out to his family and friends. I found Simon to be a well-grounded guy, and I really liked all the characters in the story except for of course Martin, and I was happy to see how supportive they all were of Simon. It’s an easy read and Simon’s family was a very interesting and supporting one. I will not give any spoilers but you will need to pick up the book and find out who blue turned out to be I was surprised too LOL..
