Book synopsis
Meet Greta Helsing, Doctor to the Undead.
Dr. Greta Helsing has inherited the family’s highly specialized, and highly peculiar, medical practice. She treats the undead for a host of ill – vocal strain in banshees, arthritis in barrow-wights, and entropy in mummies.
It’s a quiet supernatural-adjacent life, until a secret of murderous monks emerges, killing human and undead Londoners alike. As terror takes hold of the city, Greta must use her unusual skills to stop the cult if she hopes to save her practice – and her life.
My thoughts
This is new urban fantasy series about Dr. Greta Helsing who inherited the family’s medical practice, this is not your usual medical clinic this medical clinic is for the undead. I had fun following the characters while they tried to solve the murder mystery. I found this to be slow at times but not all was bad there were some moments that had me laughing and others kind of creep out.
The characters were likable but nothing really special stood out from them other than some were vampires or ghouls or some type of supernatural being.
I like this book but I didn’t love it, I’m not saying it’s a bad story but it’s definetely not what I was expecting when the main character’s name is Helsing. Please feel free to check it out and let me know your thoughts would love to hear a different opinion.
