Down The TBR Hole was originally created by Lost In A Story and the point is to help you narrow down your Goodreads TBR and also help with which books you are no longer interested in. I’m trying to keep up and post this once a week since my TBR keeps growing with every book recommendation and book releases and I just can’t resist adding them to my list in the hopes of getting to them as soon as humanly possible.
How it works:
♦ Go to your Goodreads to read shelf
♦ Order on ascending date added
♦ Take the first 5 or 10 books (any amount of books you like)
♦ Read synopses of the books
♦ Decide whether to keep or Toss
I’ll be doing the challenge weekly since my to read list is out of control, and I’ll be showing 6-8 books per post, but you decide on how you want to do it.
So, here are 8 books added to the list on 2016:
Awake by Natasha Preston– Ok, I seriously don’t know why I added this to my tbr, I looked to see if there was someone I know who recommended this book and couldn’t find one. This book is about a girl that can’t remember anything before the age four and when she has a car accident things changes. It’s a mystery not sure why I added and the truth is I lost interest. – ♦Verdict: Toss
The Darkest Mind by Alexandra Bracken – Not sure why I added it must have been the hype, I can’t remember if I have this book or not if I do I’ll read it if I don’t well you know. – ♦Verdict: Maybe
Girl in Pieces by Kathleen Glassgow – This book is about mental health and self-harmed it’s been in my tbr for a while but for some reason I keep pushing it back. – ♦Verdict: Keep
The Heir by Kiera Cass – I have read the first three books in The Selection Series and I loved them but I was told this is not about America and Maxon, it is about their daughter so… – ♦Verdict: Toss
Given to the Sea by Mindy McGinnis – I have read four of McGinnis books and I loved them all this one I really lost interest in plus is a series and to be honest I really don’t want to start another one. – ♦Verdict: Toss
The Museum of Heartbreak by Meg Leder – Ok, so another book that I completely forgot why I added it. – ♦Verdict: Toss
The Way Back to You by Michelle Adreani and Mindi Scott – after scrolling goodreads and reading some of the reviews I decided to… – ♦Verdict: Toss
The Year We Fell Apart by Emily Martin – this books sounds like something I will enjoy the goodreads review don’t look promising but I will give it a chance and hopefully I will like it. – ♦Verdict: Keep
And there you have it my friends, I think this round was great for my TBR list most of them were a toss, we shall see what happens next week. Also, I want to point out that most people are on week 12 and since I haven’t had the chance to post as frequently I’m just going by my number of weeks on this challenge.
