Top Ten Tuesday | Characters I want to revisit

Top Ten Tuesdays is a weekly meme created by The Broke and The Bookish and move to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018.

This week prompt is Character freebie or any topic about book characters.  I decided to post about one of my all time favorite series after talking with Sue over @beautybookcorner  about a book she picked up by the author and it really got me thinking about the series and how I miss these amazing young characters.  I swear this series deserves all the love in the world and the diversity in this book is just amazing!

It’s one thing to learn to curtsy properly.  It’s quite another to learn to curtsy and throw a knife at the same time.  Welcome to Finishing School.

The Finishing School Series by Gail Carriger.   The Finishing School Series is set in the same world as The Parasol Protectorate series, only 25 years earlier, and features a finishing academy located in a giant caterpillar-like dirigible floating over Dartmoor.  I personally haven’t read the Parasol Protectorate or the Custard Protocol yet but I’m planning on picking those up for a read once I do a re-read of the Finishing School.

The Finishing School Series:

This series was really fun to read and if you like espionage, historical fiction, sci-fi, paranormal and steampunk with a full diverse cast you’ll love this series.  I will have a full review of the series in a couple of months.

Make sure to also check out the other series that take place in the same world and have some of character crossover.

The Parasol Protectorate Series: (Adult series)

The Custard Protocol Series: (Adult series)

This series will explore the wider ramifications of a steampunk British Empire, not only how technology has altered but how vampires and werewolves have evolved differently all over the world.

The first book, Prudence, begins several decades after  The Parasol Protectorate series.

I’m really excited about my re-read of the Finishing School and visit with these old characters that I loved.

Thank you for stopping by and Happy Reading friends!
