The Immortals, Book 1 ♥♥♥♥♥

Book synopsis

Winter in New York.

Snow falls, lights twinkle, and a very disgruntled Selene DiSilva prowls the streets, knowing that even if she doesn’t look for trouble, it always finds her.

When a dead body is discovered sprawled atop of Wall Street’s iconic Charging Bull statue, it’s up to Selene to hunt down the perpetrators.  Her ancient skills make her the only one who can track a conspiracy that threatens the very existence of the gods, including Selene – once known as Artemis.

My thoughts

Before I begging just know this book 2 in the trilogy so this may have some spoilers.  Ok, so now to my thoughts on this sequel. This is a great follow up to the first book The Immortals and the story takes place a few months after the events of the first one.  Christmas is fast approaching and Selene and Theo find themselve struggling with their relationship and to make matters worst a body was found in Wall Street on top of the Bull statue in New York City.  This starts a new investigation for Selene and Theo.  Selene seeks the help of other immortals to track the killer down but they are all loosing their powers.

One of the things I love about these books is the world-building and the mythology in the story.  I swear you can go spend a few days in NYC and use this book as a guide LOL.  I love the mystery, suspense and the pace was great.  I loved this book not as much as The Immortals but it is still a great follow up story, the only problem I had with it was Selene dislike of the Christmas Holiday it was just a bit annoying for me and also some relationship issues Theo and Selene were having I didn’t really get it she’s immortal he’s not accept it or just move on.

Overall, this was a great sequel with amazing characters and a great plot twist with interesting mythology facts and I can’t wait to see how everything is wrap up in the final book Olympus Bound, Book 3 due to be release on February 2018 by Orbit
